LJ Hooker Foundation makes a difference to Narromine Hospital

The Humpty Dumpty Foundation and the LJ Hooker Foundation have made a difference to Narromine Hospital and Community Heath with the donation of a Jaundice Detector valued at $4,780 to Child and Family Health.

All babies are checked for jaundice (yellowing of the skin) on a daily basis.  The Jaundice Detector is used to help clinicians determine the jaundice levels through the skin without harming the baby.  If jaundice is left untreated there is a possibility of cerebral palsy, deafness and/or brain damage.

“Our team at LJ Hooker Nelson Bay specifically wanted some of the funds we raised at our charity dinner to go towards helping families that have been affected by the drought, this is why we chose to purchase the equipment requested by Narromine Hospital and Community Health.  We are proud to be supporting the Humpty Dumpty Foundation to make a tangible difference, not only in the communities in which we live and work, but also those communities in need,’’ said LJ Hooker Nelson Bay Director, Jason Brennan.

Paul Francis OAM, Humpty Dumpty Foundation Founder and Executive Chairman said: “LJ Hooker Foundation’s support of the Humpty Dumpty Foundation and the local communities in which they operate is immeasurable.  Their support of families in Narromine means children have access to the latest medical equipment.  I applaud this contribution to Narromine Hospital and Community Health as it demonstrates LJ Hooker Foundation’s commitment to the wider community”.
