Funded by the LJ Hooker Foundation and launched in 2017, Consumer Connect is an online resource created for the cystic fibrosis (CF) community around the Australia to stay in touch with other members.

Consumer Connect is a passion project collaboration between Cystic Fibrosis Australia and the LJ Hooker Foundation brought to technical life by emerging tech company Co-Star (formerly Padlokt).

The dangers of cross infection make the opportunities for those in the CF Community being able to just ‘catch up’ restricted.

As real estate professionals who spent much of our time meeting our clients face to face, LJ Hooker members clearly understand the vital importance of having a place where CF member are able to connect, break down barriers, to ‘unlock the padlock’ to support and information.

Within the Consumer Connect environment members can:

• Read blog articles from medical and allied health professionals
• Take part in video chats with community members
• View video updates on matters of importance
• Be part of forum discussions on topical issues and breakthroughs in the treatment of CF
• Access the Q&A advice hotline

Individual LJ Hooker offices contributed donations through local community events during 2017 enabling the  LJ Hooker Foundation to provide funding to bring the project to life and offer ongoing support.
